DUE · PRIVATE TRIAL
Your first week with Due
About 15 minutes to get started, then a week of ordinary use. Tell us where you hesitate — that is useful feedback.
Before you begin
This is an invitation-only, single-user trial. Keep your existing reminder system while trying Due. Use fictional examples for testing; only record a real completion when the work has actually happened.
Current email limit: automatic reminders only go to the approved owner’s inbox. Other accounts can save plans and preview emails, but email delivery must be enabled for them before their reminder test.
1. Add something familiar
- Open your register and choose Add requirement.
- Name an item, such as “Workshop oven”. The requirement is what needs doing, such as “Filter replacement”.
- Choose the next due date and repeat interval. From completion starts the next interval from when you finish. From due date keeps the planned schedule.
- Check the reminder recipient. It starts with your sign-in email; clearing it turns off reminders for that plan.
- Add a second requirement and select the same item — for example, “Calibration”.
2. Find and adjust a plan
Try the due-date filters and search. Open a plan, choose Edit plan, and check you can change its details. The Item plans button shows other plans for the same item.
Sign out and back in. Your plans should still be there, in your own business workspace.
3. Try a reminder
Open Reminder preview and select a plan’s due date. Check the recipient, item and date.
Once email is enabled for your trial account, create a fictional plan due tomorrow. Do not move a real deadline just to test Due. When the email arrives, open its plan while signed out, then sign in. You should arrive at that plan.
The daily check runs at 8 am New Zealand standard time / 9 am daylight time. Reminder points are 30 days before, 7 days before, on the due date, and every 7 days overdue. A preview does not send an email.
4. Record completion
For your fictional test plan, choose Record completion. Check the completion date and the proposed next due date before saving. Reopen the plan and check its history.
5. Tell us what you found
Use Give feedback whenever something is confusing or does not work. Describe what you tried, what you expected and what happened. Mark whether it stopped you finishing.
After a week, tell us: What would you keep using Due for? Where did you need help? What would stop you using it again? What would make it more useful than your current method?
